Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned highways and districts to ensure public safety and enforce traffic laws during peak weekend hours.
- Respond promptly to traffic accidents, medical emergencies, and distress calls to provide immediate assistance.
- Conduct thorough investigations of criminal activity and submit detailed reports for legal proceedings.
- Assist motorists with directions, vehicle breakdowns, and other roadside emergencies.
- Maintain high visibility on roadways to deter criminal activity and ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services to coordinate response efforts.
- Perform administrative duties, including data entry and case file management, during off-peak hours.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and operate law enforcement equipment for extended periods.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and medical examination.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
