Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for 200+ state employees ensuring compliance with Ohio Revised Code
- Manage employee records and benefits enrollment through state HRIS systems
- Coordinate with state auditors for quarterly compliance reviews
- Develop training materials for new payroll procedures
- Respond to employee inquiries within 24-hour SLA
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive personnel data
- Collaborate with state agency finance departments
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting/Business or 3+ years payroll experience
- Ohio government or public sector background preferred
- Proficiency with ADP or similar payroll software
- Familiarity with FLSA and Ohio wage laws
- Valid Ohio driver's license
- Ability to pass Tier 2 federal background check
- Strong attention to detail with 99.5% accuracy rate
