Responsibilities
- Design and optimize transportation systems including highways, bridges, and transit corridors
- Conduct traffic impact studies and safety assessments for new developments
- Manage project budgets and timelines using advanced engineering software
- Collaborate with local municipalities and tribal communities on infrastructure planning
- Prepare technical reports and construction specifications
- Lead field inspections and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Arizona
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of MUTCD, AASHTO, and ADOT design standards
- Experience with public works project delivery (design to construction)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Arizona driver's license
