Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to optimize transportation networks
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and regulatory compliance documents
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and local government agencies
- Ensure projects adhere to TxDOT standards, federal regulations, and environmental policies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
- Implement innovative solutions for sustainable transportation systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of transportation engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software
- Demonstrated experience with federal/state transportation regulations
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and project delivery processes
- Valid Texas driver's license
