Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Conduct traffic impact studies and optimize signal systems for urban corridors
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with local agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with federal/state transportation regulations and ADA standards
- Utilize GIS software and BIM modeling for project visualization
- Manage environmental reviews and permitting processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 5+ years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- PE license in Washington State (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Demonstrated project management experience with complex infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with WSDOT design standards and federal transportation regulations
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and public presentation ability
