Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and interchanges
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to optimize traffic flow and safety
- Prepare engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government agencies
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Implement sustainable and resilient design practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and procedures
- Valid Texas Driver's License
