Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of highway, bridge, and transit infrastructure projects
- Conduct traffic studies and analyze transportation data to inform engineering solutions
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, plans, and specifications
- Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies on project compliance and approvals
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Perform field inspections and quality control assessments
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Minimum 5 years of transportation engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Knowledge of TxDOT design standards and federal regulations (FHWA)
- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
