Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Conduct traffic impact studies and analyze transportation data using GIS and AutoCAD
- Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, agencies, and stakeholders for project execution
- Ensure adherence to federal/state regulations and TxDOT standards
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in public outreach initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering
- 3+ years of relevant transportation engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and traffic modeling software
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills
- Experience with TxDOT design standards and FHWA regulations
- Valid Texas driver's license
