Responsibilities
- Design and oversee transportation infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and traffic systems
- Analyze traffic data and conduct engineering studies to optimize transportation networks
- Prepare detailed project reports, cost estimates, and regulatory compliance documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including urban planners, environmental specialists, and construction managers
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local transportation regulations and standards
- Implement sustainable engineering solutions for long-term infrastructure resilience
- Manage project timelines and budgets while maintaining quality control standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of progressive transportation engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in engineering software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and traffic simulation tools
- Strong analytical skills with experience in transportation modeling and impact assessment
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and FHWA regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations
