Responsibilities
- Assist in designing transportation infrastructure plans using CAD/GIS software
- Conduct field inspections of highways, bridges, and traffic control systems
- Analyze traffic data to recommend safety improvements and congestion solutions
- Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation
- Coordinate with contractors and local government agencies on project implementation
- Monitor construction compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support emergency response efforts during weather events or incidents
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
- 2+ years of experience in transportation engineering or construction inspection
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS mapping software
- Valid Nevada Class C driver's license with clean record
- Familiarity with MUTCD standards and transportation regulations
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting engineering data
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
