As a Security Screener, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the traveling public. You will operate state-of-the-art screening equipment and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Operate and monitor security screening equipment, including walk-through metal detectors and body scanners.
- Inspect vehicles, luggage, and cargo for hazardous materials, weapons, or other threats to transportation security.
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to security breaches, alarms, or suspicious activities.
- Document incidents, irregularities, and findings accurately and thoroughly.
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and medical examination.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Good vision and the ability to distinguish colors.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
