Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray screening equipment and walk-through metal detectors to identify potential threats.
- Conduct physical screenings of passengers and baggage, including pat-downs and bag inspections.
- Assist passengers with special needs and provide exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and maintain a vigilant watch for suspicious activity.
- Follow all security protocols, regulations, and procedures strictly.
- Document screening activities and complete necessary paperwork accurately.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of security professionals to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications
- Be a U.S. Citizen or national with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Meet specific medical standards regarding vision, hearing, and physical fitness.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and lift moderate weights.
- Must be able to pass the TSA Basic Inspector Course (BIC) and maintain certification.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
