Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and checked baggage for weapons, explosives, and other dangerous items.
- Operate X-ray machines, CT scanners, and other advanced screening equipment to identify prohibited items.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting travelers with questions and directions regarding security procedures.
- Enforce security regulations and protocols in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Assist in emergency response situations and coordinate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Perform bag checks and pat-downs as required by strict TSA policy.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including screening lanes and equipment.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screen.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods (up to 10 hours per shift).
- Good vision (corrected if necessary) and the ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse travelers.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
