Responsibilities
- Conduct Security Screenings: Perform thorough screening of passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo using X-ray technology and physical inspections.
- Operate Advanced Equipment: Safely and accurately operate screening equipment, including CTX machines and Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT).
- Enforce Protocols: Strictly adhere to and enforce TSA security regulations, policies, and procedures to identify potential threats.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting travelers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
- Alert Detection: Identify and report prohibited items, behavioral indicators of risk, or any anomalies during the screening process.
- Documentation: Accurately complete necessary paperwork, reports, and logs related to screening activities and equipment maintenance.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a diverse team environment to maintain operational flow and security standards.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background investigation, including fingerprinting, and a drug screen.
- Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Integrity: Must possess a high level of integrity, honesty, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Experience: Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service is preferred but not always required.
