As a TSA Security Screener, you'll be at the forefront of homeland security, using advanced technology to screen passengers, baggage, and cargo. Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on baggage using X-ray machines and walk-through metal detectors
- Conduct pat-down searches and explosive trace detection procedures as required
- Operate advanced imaging technology and identify potential security threats
- Manage security checkpoint operations and maintain efficient passenger flow
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate screening records
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security escalations
- Enforce TSA regulations with professionalism and customer service focus
Qualifications
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass thorough background investigation and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn security technologies
- Valid government-issued photo identification
