Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor advanced X-ray screening equipment to detect prohibited items in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and body scans of passengers and personal belongings in accordance with TSA protocols.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and vigilance while monitoring screening lanes.
- Interact professionally and courteously with passengers to facilitate a smooth travel experience.
- Adhere to all security regulations, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the efficient flow of passengers through security checkpoints.
- Report any suspicious items, behaviors, or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including a criminal history check and drug screen.
- Excellent vision (corrective lenses allowed) and the physical ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
