As a TSA Screener, you will be responsible for protecting the traveling public by screening passengers, property, and carry-on items against threats to transportation security. This role requires a high level of vigilance, physical stamina, and unwavering commitment to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on property using X-ray screening equipment and advanced imaging technology.
- Perform thorough pat-downs and bag searches to detect prohibited items and threats.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with travelers and enforcing security regulations.
- Stand for extended periods and lift heavy luggage items up to 50 lbs as required.
- Identify and resolve security anomalies with precision and speed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Resident status (required).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for long shifts.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No history of felony convictions or significant misdemeanors.
