Responsibilities
- Screen passengers and carry-on luggage for prohibited items using advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines.
- Conduct thorough searches of individuals and baggage to ensure compliance with TSA security directives.
- Identify, isolate, and resolve potential security threats in a calm and professional manner.
- Operate screening equipment, including metal detectors, body scanners, and trace detection devices.
- Assist travelers with special needs, providing clear instructions and a high level of customer service.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness and adhere to all safety and security protocols.
- Document observations and incidents accurately in accordance with agency procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must be able to pass a background check, including criminal history, security clearance, and credit check.
- Ability to pass a medical examination and drug screening.
- Must be willing to submit to a polygraph examination.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
