Responsibilities
- Operate Advanced Screening Technology: Monitor X-ray machines and body scanners to detect prohibited items in carry-on luggage and cargo.
- Passenger Interaction: Engage professionally with travelers to enforce security protocols while maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor.
- Threat Assessment: Identify potential security threats, explosives, or weapons and respond immediately to mitigate risks.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain required security reports and documentation.
- Emergency Response: Assist in emergency response procedures and evacuation protocols during critical incidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and basic checks of screening equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Compliance: Adhere to all TSA regulations, standard operating procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a TSA background investigation, including criminal history, drug screening, and medical evaluation.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods without accommodation.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Legal Status: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
