As a TSA Security Screener, you will be the first line of defense in aviation security. You will work in a dynamic environment that requires focus, precision, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on luggage, and cargo for prohibited items and security threats.
- Operate advanced X-ray imaging technology and explosives trace detection equipment.
- Interact professionally with the public, explaining security procedures clearly and courteously.
- Patrol the secure area to identify and report any irregularities or security breaches.
- Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a high standard of physical fitness and personal grooming.
- Adhere to all TSA directives, regulations, and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or a Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of completion.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods (up to 10 hours).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- No disqualifying criminal history or recent drug use.
