Responsibilities
- Perform passenger, carry-on, and checked baggage screening operations using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Conduct thorough pat-downs and physical inspections when necessary to detect prohibited items.
- Maintain a high level of situational awareness to identify potential threats and security breaches.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with passengers to explain screening procedures and resolve any issues.
- Document all screening activities, observations, and incidents accurately in the screening log.
- Adhere to all TSA regulations, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in emergency response situations and participate in regular security drills and training exercises.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation, including a criminal history check.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must successfully complete a medical examination and drug screening process.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
