Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items, explosives, and other threats.
- Operate and monitor advanced X-ray machines and explosive trace detection equipment to analyze imagery accurately.
- Perform comprehensive pat-downs and physical searches, strictly adhering to TSA security protocols and regulations.
- Enforce security directives and maintain a secure environment within the screening checkpoint area.
- Provide clear and courteous customer service to travelers, explaining security procedures and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to resolve security issues efficiently and maintain high operational standards.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive medical examination and a drug screening.
- Excellent vision (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish colors accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
