Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo using advanced imaging technology and X-ray machines to detect prohibited items.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to maintain a safe and secure travel environment.
- Identify potential threats and intervene appropriately to protect the traveling public.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers, including assisting individuals with special needs.
- Monitor security equipment for malfunctions and report any issues immediately to the supervisor.
- Conduct thorough searches of personal property and vehicles as directed by security protocols.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while adhering to the TSA Uniform and Grooming Standards.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card holder).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including a drug screen.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical activities such as bending, lifting, and reaching.
- No felony convictions; must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
