Responsibilities
- Screening Operations: Operate X-ray and CT screening equipment to inspect carry-on and checked baggage for prohibited items while ensuring the safety of passengers and crew.
- Passenger Screening: Conduct pat-downs and advanced imaging technology screening to identify potential threats, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Threat Detection: Identify dangerous items, explosives, or other potential security risks through visual and electronic screening methods.
- Customer Service: Assist passengers with inquiries, provide directions, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure a positive travel experience.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to all TSA security directives, regulations, and standard operating procedures at all times.
- Equipment Maintenance: Report any malfunctions with screening equipment and maintain a clean and organized screening workspace.
- Emergency Response: Follow protocols for emergency situations, including evacuations and medical emergencies, on the airport terminal.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Education: High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Background Check: Must be able to pass a federal background check, including fingerprinting, drug screening, and medical examination.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift heavy baggage, and perform pat-downs.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Drug-Free: Must pass a drug test and agree to random drug testing as a condition of employment.
