Responsibilities
- Perform security screening of passengers, carry-on baggage, and property using X-ray technology and physical pat-downs.
- Verify travel documents and identity information to ensure compliance with TSA regulations.
- Identify prohibited items and potential threats in carry-on and checked baggage.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with travelers, including those with special needs or language barriers.
- Enforce security directives and policies consistently and fairly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient checkpoint operations and passenger flow.
- Complete all required training modules and maintain certification standards.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or national.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a TSA background check and drug screening.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and pass a medical examination.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow verbal instructions clearly.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings.
- No Disqualifying Criminal History: Must meet specific criminal history requirements set by the TSA.
