Responsibilities
- Perform security screening of passengers, baggage, and cargo at the checkpoint using advanced imaging technology and X-ray equipment.
- Identify potential threats and prohibited items while maintaining a courteous demeanor toward passengers.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to ensure compliance with TSA directives.
- Operate and maintain screening equipment to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities.
- Conduct random screening and patrols to deter potential threats to the facility.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien.
- Must be willing to undergo a background investigation, including a fingerprint-based criminal history records check.
- Must be able to pass a medical examination, including a drug screen.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull baggage weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must have the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid driver's license (preferred).
