Role Overview
The IT Specialist will provide advanced technical support, system administration, and cybersecurity services for federal clients. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 technical support for federal network infrastructure and end-user devices.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Implement and monitor security protocols to ensure compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, NIST).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy software updates and system patches.
- Document technical processes and maintain accurate incident logs.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in federal IT environments.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Cisco networking, Microsoft Active Directory, and scripting languages (PowerShell/Bash).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief senior leadership.
