Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal networks
- Implement advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within SLAs
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation and compliance reports
- Coordinate with federal agencies on threat intelligence sharing
- Lead incident response activities during security breaches
- Train personnel on security protocols and best practices
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal IT security roles
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) required
- Expertise in NIST cybersecurity frameworks and compliance
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and system architectures
- Ability to obtain DHS security clearance within 30 days
