Responsibilities
- Implement and Manage Security Protocols: Oversee the implementation of security measures to protect federal information systems and physical facilities in El Paso.
- Monitor System Performance: Conduct regular security assessments and monitor system logs to detect and mitigate potential cyber threats.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate incident response efforts for security breaches or network anomalies.
- Compliance Auditing: Ensure all IT operations adhere to federal standards, regulations (FISMA), and agency policies.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and support for federal employees and infrastructure.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security configurations, incident reports, and system updates.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet Federal hiring requirements.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration or cybersecurity.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or NSA IAT Level II certification preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, Firewalls, and VPN technologies.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior leadership.
