Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect federal information systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure compliance with NIST and DoD standards.
- Monitor security alerts and incident response activities to mitigate risks in real-time.
- Enforce security policies and procedures across network infrastructure and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff on security best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance (or ability to obtain one) is required.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or IT security.
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Splunk, SIEM, and Firewalls.
