Role Overview:
As an IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of federal information systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring data integrity, system security, and operational efficiency for government stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments for federal government contracts.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all systems adhere to strict federal security protocols and NIST standards.
- Network Support: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Incident Response: Monitor system performance and respond promptly to security incidents or technical failures.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation and compliance records as required by auditors.
- Client Support: Provide high-level technical support to federal personnel and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required (or eligibility to obtain).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in federal IT environments or government contracting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS/Azure).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Cisco CCNA preferred.
