Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal networks: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems to ensure high availability and security.
- Ensure compliance and documentation: Maintain detailed records of system configurations, security protocols, and change logs to meet strict federal standards (NIST, FISMA).
- Provide technical troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues for federal stakeholders with minimal downtime.
- Support system upgrades: Plan and execute system patches, upgrades, and migrations in accordance with project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with security analysts and project managers to identify vulnerabilities and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Clearance: Active Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one (Top Secret preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT environments or with Department of Defense (DoD) systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network administration, virtualization technologies (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-pressure environment.
