Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Depth Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support government decision-making.
- Develop Data Models: Build and maintain robust data models and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for various state agencies.
- Report to Stakeholders: Create comprehensive reports and presentations for government officials, ensuring complex data is accessible and actionable.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to strict federal and state data privacy regulations and security protocols to protect sensitive citizen information.
- Collaborate on Policy: Partner with policy makers to define data requirements and evaluate the potential impact of new legislation.
- Maintain Data Integrity: Perform regular audits and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all government records.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the government, public sector, or non-profit sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R; experience with Tableau, PowerBI, or similar visualization tools is required.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical mindset with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Location: Must be willing to work out of our Minneapolis, MN office or a hybrid arrangement.
