Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization.
- Manage and maintain local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN), ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
- Implement and monitor data security protocols to protect sensitive government records and citizen data.
- Configure and support server hardware, virtualization environments, and cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with department heads to assess technical needs and recommend scalable solutions.
- Document technical procedures and maintain detailed records of system changes and configurations.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or system administration within a government or corporate setting.
- Valid CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certification is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server, and Office 365.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict deadlines during critical system updates.
