Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the County's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Implement and enforce network security protocols to protect sensitive government data.
- Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments and virtualization technologies.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular backups to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
- Document all system configurations, changes, and maintenance procedures.
- Respond to IT support tickets and resolve hardware/software issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent technical training required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in IT systems administration or a related field.
- Valid CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
