Responsibilities
- Sort and Process Mail: Efficiently sort incoming mail and packages according to delivery routes and zip codes using automated sorting equipment.
- Delivery Operations: Load, unload, and organize mail trucks, ensuring all items are secured for safe transit to residential and commercial addresses.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service when handing over packages or answering inquiries regarding delivery status.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while operating company vehicles and navigating delivery routes.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the mail truck and sorting facility, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Adaptability: Work in varying weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting packages weighing up to 70 lbs.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: A valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Reliability: Proven history of punctuality and dependability in previous employment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with the public.
