Responsibilities
- Design and implement evidence-based health education campaigns for underserved communities
- Collaborate with state agencies to track and report communicable disease outbreaks
- Develop grant proposals securing $500K+ in annual funding for health initiatives
- Lead cross-departmental task forces addressing opioid crisis and maternal health disparities
- Analyze population health data using GIS mapping tools to identify intervention zones
- Train frontline healthcare workers on emergency preparedness protocols
- Present findings to City Council and community stakeholders quarterly
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Health or related field (MPH preferred)
- 3+ years experience in government/public health administration
- Proficiency in health data analysis tools (SPSS, Tableau, Epi-Info)
- Valid Maryland driver's license with clean record
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential
- Demonstrated success in securing federal/state grants
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods
- Ability to work flexible hours during public health emergencies
