Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for state agencies.
- Oversee system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal and state cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA).
- Lead cross-functional teams in the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud environments.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Provide advanced technical support and mentorship to junior IT staff members.
- Collaborate with vendors to manage software licensing and hardware procurement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or government IT.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are highly desirable.
