Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity frameworks for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts 24/7
- Develop incident response plans for cyber threats
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and DHS policies
- Train staff on security best practices and protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or IT field
- 3+ years experience in federal IT security
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+
- Expertise in risk assessment methodologies
- Knowledge of VA and VDI security implementations
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
