Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official municipal records, ordinances, and legislative documents
- Oversee election administration processes and voter registration systems
- Coordinate with city council members and executive leadership on legislative procedures
- Supplement public records requests and ensure compliance with FOIA regulations
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services
- Manage city seal usage and official document authentication
- Develop and implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
- Serve as liaison between government branches and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in municipal government records management
- Expert knowledge of DC municipal codes and legislative procedures
- Professional certification in Records Management (CRM) or Public Administration (CPM)
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and document automation systems
- Proven experience managing election administration processes
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting official documents
