Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, paving, and drainage system maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters) under supervision
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and park facility maintenance
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and project specifications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet construction deadlines
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout project phases
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid North Carolina driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
