Responsibilities
- Maintain and Troubleshoot IT Systems: Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical government software and hardware infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Data Management & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to state and federal data privacy regulations when handling sensitive citizen information.
- System Upgrades: Lead and execute software upgrades and system migrations, minimizing disruption to government services.
- Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support and training to government staff regarding new technologies and security protocols.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience in a public sector environment).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role within a government or large-scale enterprise.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and government security clearance protocols.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical staff.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
