Responsibilities
- Deliver Mail: Collect and distribute mail and packages to customers along an assigned route in all weather conditions.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns courteously.
- Vehicle Operation: Safely operate a USPS vehicle (P700) and perform routine vehicle inspections.
- Route Management: Efficiently manage time and route logistics to ensure timely delivery of the entire mail pouch.
- Hold Mail: Handle special services such as hold mail, return on failure, and forwarding as directed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing the required uniform and PPE.
Qualifications
- Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Driver's License: Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Physical: Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs, stand/walk for long periods, and perform physical exertion.
- Communication: Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
