As a City Carrier, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to residential and business customers. Responsibilities
- Deliver mail and packages along a designated route in a safe and timely manner.
- Sort mail and parcels in the vehicle or station before starting the route.
- Interact professionally and courteously with a diverse customer base.
- Ensure the safe handling and transport of mail and packages, including lifting items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Adhere to all USPS safety protocols and regulations at all times.
- Collect and process accountable mail and associated fees.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class A, B, or C) is required.
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be able to work in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
