Responsibilities
- Sort and process incoming and outgoing mail efficiently using automated and manual equipment.
- Deliver mail to residential and business addresses along established routes in a timely manner.
- Obtain signatures for certified and registered mail and obtain proof of delivery for packages.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with customers and community members.
- Inspect mail for damage, postage, and proper handling to prevent loss.
- Load and unload mail from delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and postal regulations while on the job.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 70 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, and snow.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- No felony convictions within the last 7 years.
