Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize VA hospital network infrastructure including servers, storage, and cloud systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive veteran health data (HIPAA compliance)
- Provide Tier-3 technical support for electronic health record systems (EHR)
- Coordinate IT infrastructure upgrades and disaster recovery initiatives
- Train staff on new technologies and maintain system documentation
- Collaborate with federal IT teams on national healthcare IT projects
- Ensure compliance with federal IT regulations (FISMA, NIST)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years experience in enterprise IT infrastructure management
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Expertise in Windows Server, VMware, and healthcare IT systems
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Experience with federal IT compliance frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- US citizenship required
