Responsibilities
- Process veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy and within federal deadlines
- Conduct eligibility assessments for VA healthcare, education, and compensation programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve complex veteran cases
- Maintain confidential case files in compliance with HIPAA and VA regulations
- Provide compassionate guidance to veterans navigating benefit systems
- Generate monthly performance reports for senior leadership review
- Train new staff on VA policies and procedural updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in veteran services or federal claims processing
- VA Form 10-2850c certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in VA's VBA-21 and VBMS systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 federal background clearance
- Exceptional communication skills with diverse populations
- U.S. citizenship required
- Valid Texas driver's license preferred
