Responsibilities
- Manage and process veteran benefit claims with 99% accuracy and timeliness
- Provide expert guidance on VA healthcare, education, and disability compensation programs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve complex veteran cases
- Maintain compliance with federal regulations and VA policies
- Develop and implement outreach initiatives to connect veterans with services
- Analyze veteran data to improve service delivery and program effectiveness
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- 3+ years of federal service experience or equivalent private sector experience
- GS-12 level pay status or equivalent qualifications
- Proficiency in VA systems (VBMS, VBA) and Microsoft Office Suite
- VA benefits certification (preferred) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Exceptional communication skills for veteran interactions
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment
- U.S. citizenship and successful background clearance
