Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control pumps, valves, and electrical equipment within the water treatment plant and distribution system.
- Perform routine chemical testing and analysis to ensure compliance with State and Federal water quality standards.
- Maintain accurate operational logs and report any deviations or malfunctions to the Supervisor immediately.
- Conduct routine inspections of facility grounds, machinery, and safety systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary corrective actions during off-hours if on the rotation.
- Assist in the maintenance of vehicles and heavy equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with Tanker endorsement is highly desirable.
- Current Colorado Water/Wastewater Operator Certification (Level I) or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
