Responsibilities
- Monitor park areas during weekend shifts to ensure visitor safety and resource protection
- Provide exceptional customer service, interpretive programs, and emergency response
- Conduct routine patrols, enforce park regulations, and document incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during weekend operations
- Lead educational programs on weekend days for diverse visitor groups
- Perform facility maintenance and habitat restoration tasks
- Manage visitor permits and special weekend event coordination
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record
- Basic First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions on weekends
- Strong communication skills for public interaction and conflict resolution
- Experience in natural resources, law enforcement, or customer service preferred
- Physical ability to hike long distances and lift 50+ pounds
- Knowledge of Bay Area ecology and emergency response protocols
- Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays
